At Hopley’s, we are dedicated to becoming a sustainable holiday destination. Located just 20 miles from large conurbations such as The Black Country and Birmingham, we offer a natural escape and access to green spaces for our customers without requiring extensive travel.
At the bottom of our campsite, we have transformed a wet area into a Nature Pool. This serene spot is perfect for campers to enjoy the presence of ducks, frogs, and other wildlife, creating a peaceful and natural environment.
Last year, we switched to a new commercial waste management company that specialises in recycling glass, food waste, and cardboard. We have invested in separate bins throughout the campsite. We encourage all campers to assist us in recycling by placing their rubbish in the correct bins.

In the Rustic Kitchen, all plates and food containers are fully biodegradable, reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices.
We have planted wildflower seeds on all banks and around the edges of the campsite to encourage pollinators. Additionally, we are replacing traditional fencing with hedging, bushes, and shrubs, offering a greener and more natural camping experience.
We have invested significantly in replacing all our electric hook-ups with ‘pay as you go’ electric meters. Campers can monitor their electricity usage and only pay for what they use. To further encourage energy conservation, we offer a full refund for any unused units.
We invite campers to use the sharing table outside reception. If you have any unwanted food items or books, please place them on the sharing table for others to enjoy. This initiative helps reduce waste and promotes a community spirit among campers.
This is just the beginning. Sustainability is at the forefront of our business development plan, and we are continually seeking ways to improve our environmental impact.
